Business tycoon Naveen Jain was destined to connect people to a world of information via the Internet and be famously wealthy for it. His first step to his destined career was when he obtained a degree of Bachelor of Science from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the XLRI Jamshedpur School of Management.

Through a business exchange program, he was able to work for Microsoft Corporation in America. There, he earned different managerial and marketing positions until he became a senior executive and helped launch the Microsoft Network.

After resigning from Microsoft in 1996, he founded InfoSpace, a company that provides information to websites. Later on, it began supplying instant information on cellular phones.

He then founded Intelius in 2003, and is currently its chief executive officer.

Intelius is an online information company that provides businesses and consumers necessary data for their safety and information. The company has ten million clients who avail of services such as background checks, people search, comprehensive employment screening, and IDWatch, an award-winning identity theft prevention product. Being one of the top 100 most checked sites on the Internet, Intelius garnered the WSA Industry achievement award, and was included in America’s Top 500 fastest growing private companies.

Naveen Jain has been donating financial assistance to organizations advocating for children’s welfare, education, poverty alleviation, and healthcare to the uninsured. These include University of Washington, Rotary Club, Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, Hopelink, and Child Rights and You.

Information Week acknowledged Naveen Jain to be one of the six people who will change the Internet. He was given the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal. He was listed amongst the top 15 Corporate Philanthropists in the greater Puget Sound area.
