Turning 30 is the first of many birthdays when you’ll probably say, “I cannot believe I am (insert age).” And, it’s a good reason to have a big party to celebrate. Whether you prefer to have a enormous bash or an intimate gathering, you will need some festive activities to make the celebration unforgettable. Let these 30th birthday ideas
take you back to many favorite childhood activities and make conventional party activities unique.

A surprise party is all about having the guest of honor experience how much he or she is loved. Integrating photos of friends and family and other memorabilia into the decorations, makes for a great, customized event. Grab the birthday guy or gal’s collection of school days photos. Use a picture from a different grade and frame it to place on the center of each table. You could also integrate other milestone photographs from commencements, a wedding or other momentous event.

The best part about a birthday is having your favorite friends there to celebrate it with you. For a fun getaway adventure trip, invite 3 to 6 other guests, for a total of 5-8 guests including you and a significant other. This will give you enough people to make it seem like a real celebration, without making the process of preparing too discouraging. Once the group number rises past ten, the chances of finding a weekend that works with everyone’s schedule is just about impossible, which is why we recommend keeping it easy and sticking to eight or less total campers.

The last betting position at the poker table is called the “button.” This player has the best advantage in betting because all the other players must act first and the button can gauge what their actions mean.

You can play more poker hands from late position because of this information advantage. Keep these tips and strategies in mind for late position play:

   * You have more information based on what those ahead of you have done – this gives you clues about what your hands your opponents are playing.

  * Being last to act lets you open up your starting hand range to include more speculative poker hands like suited connectors or small pocket pairs when there has only been limping ahead of you.

  * When you are on the button, you automatically have “bluff equity” – the power to make others fold with a raise. Since you are last to bet, you can leverage that threat with raises.

  * Don’t fall into a predictable pattern of always raising on the button. Instead, look for selective opportunities to bluff with a raise when you have a strong hand pre-flop, and a made hand or a lot of outs post-flop.

*When you are last to act, you can better control pot size because you have the last option to raise post-flop.

  * If you are in the “cut-off” seat – just ahead of the button – a raise could force the button to fold and allow you to usurp the button seat post-flop.

Sky Lanterns have come to be allied with times of pleasure, parties along with festivity. Justifiably so. It has certainly become a fashionable gathering accessory because it produces a dazzling presentation which is very theatrical and dramatic. It is a caring manner of commemorating the departure of a loved by a solo sky lantern.

In life at some point everybody has to confront the death of a cherished one, it is inescapable. We have to be subjected to some type of sorrow and distress as it is a fraction of the human condition much like how love and hunger are inculcated in our structure. Many battle to recognize the finality of mortality, its complexity to be digested and its weird and overwhelming enigma. Individuals also have exceptionally different ways of dealing with it, some wedge it away, some others dunk themselves in their sorrow, others come into contact with built up sorrow, and find themselves mourning lots of years later.

For a post all this feels to be a terribly dark and distressing subject matter but there is a meaning to it. Still I wouldn’t for a sec imply that sky lanterns constitute passing away more manageable, they do on the other hand fetch varied people together, present them the interim as well as time to tranquilly wonder about their grief.

Sky lanterns signify an emotional release, so after a burial or a commemoration you can pay tribute to a person that has been lost by emancipating a sky lantern. It is as if you can be letting go a tiny element of your grief, or a tiny part of the life you’re mourning, as you let the lantern go. In fact the absolving effect is embodied by the sky lantern’s saga.
A sky lantern won’t curtail grief quickly, however it can proffer an occasion to confront it head on as well as to start- incredibly slowly and very definitely- to come to terms with it, also to-in an extremely tiny approach- let it fly away.

The term dates back to the wild west days when poker players had to bring a gun to the table for protection. I’m not sure who originated the term, but I’ve often heard long-timers like T.J. Cloutier and Doyle Brunson use it. The nickname stems from players’ inclination to overplay A-K and stake their entire winnings on it; and then when they lose they’d be left walking back home to Houston, or at least hitch hiking. No doubt, A-K is a great starting hand, but don’t forget, it’s only ace high. It often needs to improve on the flop or turn in order to be good. But still many players will call big bets with A-k even if they flopped nothing to it, because they see those two fine looking cards next to eachother and assume they can’t lose. But they often do. That’s why you should have no problem throwing away A-K if it seems like you’re beat. Sure, no one likes doing that, but it’s better to live to with another hand than be flat broke and walking all the way back to Houston.

For the first time since the WSOP Circuits began in 2004, St. Louis, Missouri will play host to the World Series of Poker Circuit Events.

Harrah’s St. Louis was where truck salesman-turned-November Niner Dennis Phillips made a name for himself in 2008, turning a $200 Harrah’s tournament into his seat in the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.

Phillips went on to make the final table of the 6,844 person field, finishing third and turning his $200 investment into a $4.5 million payday, hundreds of media interviews, an online poker sponsorship and an entree into the professional poker online circuit.

Phillips made another deep run in the 2009 WSOP Main Event, where he finished 45th out of 6,494 entrants, taking home $178,857. In back-to-back year’ at the WSOP Main Event, Phillips outlasted an amazing 13,291 opponents, the best showing in consecutive years in WSOP history. Buzz about the WSOP coming to St. Louis has been growing since the 2009/2010 schedule was announced last July. In recent weeks, there has been much talk about the Harrah’s St. Louis Circuit on a number of local poker radio shows including Phillips’ “The Final Table Radio Show” with co-host Paul Harris and the “All-In Poker Radio” show hosted by Mike “The Force” Eise. he winner of the main event takes home first place prize money, a $10,000 seat to the 2010 WSOP Main Event at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino as well as a diamond-encrusted Circuit Championship Ring

My favorite poker online opponents are the ones who play too honestly. I had a buddy who never, ever bluffed. If he had a great hand, he’d bet, and if he had a bad one, he’d either check or fold. He figured that the odds would even out and he’d win at least as many hands as he lost, and he thought he’d usually break even with this poker strategy. You can probably guess that this was almost never the case.

His error was twofold-one, by never bluffing, he effectively reduced his odds of winning be eliminating any chance of winning a hand without the best cards. But far worse was how predictable this made him. By the way, when I say ‘worse’, I mean for him, because this was always great for me. Since he was never deceptive when he played poker, there was never any question about how to play against him. I always knew when to fold and when to raise against him. As a result, he severely limited his winnings when he had a great hand, because we’d usually just fold whenever he raised, and if he would check, trying to draw a winning hand, I could always scare him off by betting into him.

Festivities aplenty in Asia, South East Asia looks to get the selection of the bundle. Not surprisingly Thailand is the home of Thai Lanterns and are today hitting a far larger audience as they gain popularity at UK events. One Such Festival by the name of Yee Peng follows the Buddhist Calendar and translates to the twelfth lunar month. The Western Calendar normally finds this coming in November. This Festival goes by the name of Loy Krathong through other splits of Thailand. Many traditions are observed during this festival by the Thai people.. My favourite activity is the liberating of ‘Thai Lanterns’ or ‘Khom Loy’. It is truly magic to honor the sky alight with these radiating globes. It is imagined that as the lanterns go away into th sky so too do your headaches.. The light is said to lead people to a happy and fulfilled living. I am not sure if westerners grasp the comparable belief but every year see’s many joining in on this fun event. Bamboo chassis with a Rice Paper shell is how these Thai Lanterns are built in a biodegradeable way.Flight time is about 12 minutes and the Lanterns are well-known to reach upward of 1200 ft!Popularity has been on the rise (excuse the pun) and has even seen the Royal Thai Air Force change their air activity and make cautionary to the airport to be cautious of prospective dangers should a lantern get lodged in a plane turbine.

Just like an observant eye or an unreadable face, a big stack is an effective weapon at the poker online table. Oddly enough, it’s a weapon that few people use wisely. A lot of players will find themselves on the good end of a huge hand at the casino, and then sit back and hope that the other players at the table knock each other out. If you’re the big stack, this is a great way to let the blinds bleed you dry of your hcips as moreaggressive players tae the lead for themselves. When you’re the big stack, it’s time to push your opponents around-enter pots with big raises and start making your opponents uncomfortable. Make it an expensive propositive to see the flop when you’re in the hand, and everyone at the table will think twice (at least) before calling your bet. Use your stack to make players forld their chips away to you, and keep your stack growing incrementally, because a stagnant chip stack is a shrinking one. As the blinds raise up, oyour chip stack’s value decreases, so make sure that you earn some interest on it.

Take for example a recent hand by Men Nyugen in the 2008 WSOP 10k buy-in event. A poker online player in mid-position raised 1,500. The blinds were 250/500 with a 50 ante from each player. Eight players at the table, so the raise was about the size of the pot. Nyugen was in the small blind position with A-K offsuit, and put the player either on a high pocket pair or something like A-J or A-10. Nyugen just called here. The flop came Ah-Ks-6h with two hearts. But here’s where things get really odd. Nyugen had the Ace of spades and the King of hearts. At this point there were only two poker online players. Nyugen flopped top two pair with the nut heart flush draw. Nyugen checked here hoping his opponent would read weakness. And he did; his opponent bet 2000, about half the pot. Again Nyugen simply called. The turn came 8 of spades. Making either flush a possibility but not for Nyugen. However, that didn’t matter, his two high cards blocked any kind of play his opponent could make toward the flush. Again, Nyugen checked. His opponent bet out 4000, but this time things chanced. Nyugen pulled the old check raise out of his pocket betting 14k into a 12k pot. Unfortunately his opponent was no amateur either, and decided not to make the call. After all, even though the play looked like a steal, the opponent had too few chips to put his tournament life on the line. At that point Nyugen took down the pot. In any event, the above story is a perfect example of how to slow play a monster hand. After all the entire point is to try to get as much of your opponent’s stack into the pot as possible. And one more thing, if you are trying to slow play, remember that’s always better to be one on one rather than have a group pot. Unless of course you flop the nuts.
